This is our fourth visit to this restaurant, and it's always a real pleasure! The food is excellent, and the welcome is always warm. We would like to thank the team for the special attention they gave us by finding us a quiet little table so we could be comfortably seated with our little Chihuahua. This time, we enjoyed the mixed grill and the warm goat cheese salad: very generous portions, beautifully presented, and delicious. Finally, you are the only ones to offer Rouge d'Ottrott, a wine I particularly enjoy. We will definitely be back!

Warm welcome - pleasant setting - lovely fabric tablecloth - We wanted to try Alsatian vol-au-vent and we weren't disappointed; they were very good and generous, I think homemade. A great place to eat.

Hello, I'm Belgian and I spent a week in Alsace. L'Auberge du Veilleur restaurant is by far the best restaurant I ate at during my entire stay. The service was excellent, with friendliness, kindness, and genuine smiles—not forced or simply absent. The food was perfect: delicious, flavorful, and made with fresh ingredients. And don't even get me started on the almond fondant on a bed of red berries with its sesame tuile—it was absolutely divine! The setting was very pleasant, warm, welcoming, and clean, and the value for money was outstanding. I highly recommend it. In fact, I've asked them to consider opening a restaurant in Liège; I'm sure I would be a very good customer. Many thanks.

Excellent welcome and tarte flambée 👌

A wonderful discovery during a bike ride. A warm and friendly welcome, even though we only wanted two small glasses of wine and a tarte flambée. We ended up doubling our order. Good quality ingredients, homemade food. Excellent tarte flambée made with fresh ingredients. Thank you to the team! 👍

Hello, I came with my family and the service left much to be desired. I think a little smile wouldn't hurt as a server, and we felt judged when we took an order, which, by the way, took a little while to arrive. As for the food, no complaints except for the bread, which I didn't think was fresh. The restrooms were clean, though. For the price of the steak, it would have been nice to have a bit more spritzer; it was just a tiny little bowl... a shame.

We received a very warm welcome for our lunch on the terrace. The staff were very attentive to us and our dog. The meal was of good quality and plentiful.

Good address

Extremely disappointed! We knew this inn from coming here on our motorcycles to sit on the terrace in the summer… we're from the area, and we invited some family from Lorraine to meet us at a nice little Alsatian inn… on the menu, among other things, a huge cold burger bun, a tiny cold hamburger patty, a huge layer of lettuce, a leftover jar of onion confit, and a hypothetical slice of Munster cheese… the inn had a cold, unwelcoming atmosphere; I kept my jacket on! The service was rushed, with barely five tables occupied, the woman wanted to leave… We left around 9:30 pm, some of the lights turned off to speed our departure! We will never return. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Excellent and fast

Quite honestly, the vegetarian burger should be removed from the menu. Only the fries were decent, and even then, barely. As for the burger, it was a tiny, defrosted bun, a single, barely warm slice of cheddar cheese, a very mediocre veggie "patty," and a single, tiny lettuce leaf. I ate it because I was starving. And I was still starving afterward. My wife's mushroom tarte flambée wasn't cooked. The dessert was more whipped cream than ice cream. We ate in our jackets because it must have been around 17°C (63°F) at most. Frankly, I'm rarely this critical, but this was just unacceptable. I definitely don't recommend it.
