The food was delicious, the pancakes were thin and generously filled—truly tasty pancakes. The other dishes were also quite substantial. In this beautiful place, it's nice to savor them at your own pace!

We can't comment on the food, as we left without ordering. After the waitress (or owner?) consistently ignored us, while other guests who arrived after us were given menus and allowed to order, we left after 15 minutes – without even receiving a menu. A shame.

Food was okay. Price was fine. Coffee seems to come from a vending machine (hospital coffee / office coffee). You can sit outside. Service was okay, maybe a bit abrupt due to the crowds?

Very nice and welcoming staff! Food was great, server had good wine recommendations. We had two different Rieslings (unsure which ones, but she recommended them and they were both delightful!), the sauerkraut with 5 meats, and the fondu. Classic Alsatian meal, good spot for lunch.

Delicious tarte flambée. The staff are friendly and attentive. The menu is also in German, and the staff speak German. Very child-friendly with good changing facilities. Perfect location, very comfortable seating!

At the foot of the Dolder, the iconic bell tower of Riquewhire, you will find Le Médiéval. This colorful restaurant, founded in 1515, is open all day and serves traditional Alsatian dishes as well as the specialty of Riquewhire: green sauerkraut. We only had a drink there on the super cozy terrace, with more than reasonable prices for its location. Super friendly service

The restaurant was listed as open, but the kitchen wasn't serving food. What a shame, it had been recommended to me...

For €24 you can enjoy this surprising Riquewihr specialty, green sauerkraut, made with seven-herb buttercream, goose, duck, and pistachio-studded white sausages, and grilled bacon. The herbaceous flavor dominates the cabbage, and the different meats are quite original. The tarte flambée is good, such as the Emmental gratin (€12.60) or the Munster (€13.90), and a glass of Pinot Gris (€4). Double espresso (€3.30), tea (€2.50), and local iced tea (€3.20) are also available. Clean restrooms. Friendly and efficient waitress.
