Delicious! Very good sandwiches and quiches, first-class macarons! I'm glad I came here. The waitress was very helpful.

We went there on July 12, 2026, to buy a baguette and a dessert. The baguette was inedible, tasteless, and hard. And the exotic baba? Don't even get me started; we threw it away because it was so inedible. Avoid this place at all costs! Don't waste your money on this place; there are so many others that deserve it!

We had breakfast at Poulailhon on Rue des Clefs in Colmar, and I'll start with what deserves to be highlighted. The terrace is pleasant, the air-conditioned dining room is a real plus in the heat, the prices are quite reasonable, and I also appreciated an important detail: not a single fly on the pastries and cakes on display. Given how many shops neglect this, it's worth mentioning. Unfortunately, all of this is seriously marred by the service. I'm not talking about a simple oversight or a bad day. I'm talking about the bare minimum that every customer has the right to expect when they walk through the door of a shop: a smile, a little human warmth, a friendly welcome. The staff we encountered seemed to have forgotten that we were customers and not troublemakers who had come to disrupt their morning. As for the older employee who served us, she went far beyond simply not smiling: she was downright unfriendly. There's an old saying: "He who doesn't know how to smile shouldn't open a shop." It's harsh, but after this experience, it's hard not to think about it. And yet, it was morning. Not after a ten-hour rush, not at closing time, not in an exceptional situation. Just at the start of the day. And even when it's busy, a smile and friendliness are integral to the sales profession. They aren't optional; they're fundamental. It's all the more regrettable because the establishment has real qualities. With a welcome that matched its products and ambiance, the experience could have been excellent. Today, we leave with the memory of a good pastry, but above all, with a welcome that makes you feel unwelcome. I sincerely hope this remark will be heard, because it is much easier to correct an attitude than to improve an already high-quality product.

The food at Poulaillon is generally tasty and the freshness is good. Unfortunately, it was very noisy in the shop during my visit, making communication with the staff difficult and hard to understand. There's also room for improvement in the quality of the baked goods, as some items were quite dry. While the staff were friendly, overall the experience could be better.

It's a lovely place at lunchtime, with its shaded tables and the street breezy and cool air. The croissants are delicious. The pretzel bagel was fresh, but we found the cheese a little salty. The tart was very tasty. The cream filling was light and pleasant. It's a great place for a short break during the day. I would just prefer that they put the croissants and bagels on a tray on napkins instead of directly on a plate.

What sometimes happens when someone travels to a foreign country and is expected to "know the language" has to stop at some point. I travel to different countries two or three times a year and have neither the time nor the obligation to learn every language. No one is obligated to learn something if they don't want to, just as no one is obligated to serve customers or accept money if they don't want to. Respect, however, is a duty, because we don't know each other, and I came to your shop as a visitor and expect to be treated with respect. I regret to see, however, that there have been other incidents of poor service in this shop. Four days ago, I visited myself and waited in line. When it was my turn, I asked a young employee if she spoke English, as I don't speak French, and she said "a little." I asked if the croissants were hot or cold, and she turned to an older colleague, who asked me if I perhaps spoke Italian. I said no and very politely asked both of them, "English, German, or Greek?" The young employee replied sarcastically, "French? Because you're in France?" So, my dear, if you ever go on holiday to England, America, Italy, or perhaps to Germany or Greece, will you learn all the languages beforehand? Unacceptable behavior, an unsuitable employee for this position. Naturally, I left immediately and do not recommend this store, no matter how good the atmosphere or the products are. My experience was terrible and completely ruined my mood. I'm giving it two stars because her colleague at least showed a little willingness to help. Otherwise, I would have given it one.

Worst service ive experienced, unnecessary facial expressions, rude and hostile and then completely ignored when someone else tried to order over us and we were pushed right to the back pf the queue all of a sudden. Food quite poor- sandwich and pretzels were stale (this was 2pm). Just shocking customer service, young girl would rather just talk to her colleagues than serve.

Poulaillon Colmar is a great option, especially for those looking for a quick but high-quality breakfast or snack. We visited in the morning and the variety was truly impressive — they offer a wide selection, from sandwiches and croissants to desserts and quiches. The items we tried were fresh, delicious, and very satisfying in terms of price/performance. The breakfast sandwiches and croissants, in particular, were a great choice to start the day. It's a practical and reliable option for those in Colmar who don't want to sit down for a long brunch but still want something of good quality. I would easily recommend it for breakfast or a midday snack.

I ordered a mendiant (a type of dried fruit and nut) on March 31, 2026, at 4:30 PM. It was dry and had a strange taste. The saleswoman told me it was 2-3 days old and still edible. That was her response to my complaint. A complete waste of money.

Hello, The manager really needs to take a look at how the saleswomen in this bakery work, because it's not the first time this has happened to me. I often come here for bread because I like baguettes. Customers come into the shop, but the staff are chatting and laughing loudly, so busy that they don't even notice the line starting to form. Then, zero greetings, zero smiles. The one who served me wasn't focused; she was still turning her head to laugh and wave to her colleagues. Perhaps they should be transferred to another shop. They're too comfortable with each other and no longer pay attention to the customers.

We went there last Thursday around 2 pm. I had a sandwich, which was relatively good, and my husband had a daily special that looked two days old according to the menus on their website, which I checked when I got home because the dish was barely edible. But what bothered me most was that at 2 pm, two hours after the lunchtime rush, we couldn't find a single clean table to eat at inside. We won't be going back.
