Au Chasseur

The restaurant was disappointing. The sauerkraut was not tasty; it seemed that the accompanying meat had not been braised in the sauerkraut. We did not feel welcome.

The restaurant is fantastic, the food is excellent and the staff are very friendly.

Very friendly and prompt service and good, traditional German food. The price-performance ratio and menu selection were good. We definitely had a lovely and delicious evening outside in perfect weather. While there are certainly higher-end restaurants in terms of ambiance (table decorations, etc.) and food (hence the 4 stars), we still felt comfortable here and can recommend the restaurant!

Avoid at all costs! If you want to have dinner at 8:40 pm, they tell you it's no later than that! The last time we came, there was nobody there, and this time they were obviously very happy that we were coming to this establishment! What a shame.

A nostalgic trip back to Alsace, where we lived from 2000 to 2005. We stopped in Colmar after visiting the Materne Haegelin wine cellar. We were looking for a place to enjoy Alsatian cuisine. The restaurant, Le Chasseur, caught our eye, and we were right to choose it. Slightly off the beaten path, we were transported back to our younger days with an excellent pork knuckle and sauerkraut (perhaps the best I've had since December 2003, watching the storks perched in Munster) for me, and a dish of ham and seasonal asparagus for my wife. We enjoyed a Grand Cru Riesling and finished with some excellent ice cream. A lovely place, excellent service, and everyone seemed to leave satisfied and happy. Thank you to the team.

A very good, quiet restaurant. Impeccable service. The veal was a little overcooked, but the sauce was excellent. Generous dessert.
